SISP Expresses Deep Disappointment Over Lack of Justice in Bangladesh Following Months of Inaction in Major Fraud Case
November 15, 2025

Shaker International Scholarship Programs (SISP) has formally expressed deep disappointment regarding the ongoing lack of accountability in what has become a major fraud case in Bangladesh. After more than five to six months, there have been no arrests, no recovery of stolen funds, and no meaningful enforcement actions — despite extensive evidence and multiple witness testimonies.
What began as internal misconduct has now evolved into a widely recognized Bangladesh NGO fraud scandal. The allegations involve financial fraud, misuse of organizational funds, and theft of critical assets by:
- Samia Islam Farzana (Government Titumir College)
- Shahed Anwar Shadhin (Adamjee Cantonment College)
- Jannatul Ferdous Fareha (Lalmatia Govt. Women’s College)
Throughout the investigation, SISP fully cooperated with authorities and submitted comprehensive documentation, including:
- Financial transaction records
- Official organizational documents
- Written communications
- Video and audio recordings
- Photographic evidence
- Testimony from more than six independent witnesses
In jurisdictions with a strong rule of law, cases supported by this level of evidence are typically resolved swiftly. However, the Bangladesh police investigation has shown no visible progress, raising serious concerns about justice delays and institutional accountability.
While the accused individuals remain central to the case, SISP firmly believes responsibility extends beyond the perpetrators. When credible evidence is presented and no action follows, institutions tasked with enforcing the law must also be held accountable.
The damage caused by this case extends far beyond financial loss. The consequences include:
- Operational disruption affecting daily systems
- Delays to major international humanitarian initiatives
- Paused partnerships and strategic development plans
- Lost opportunities for students and families awaiting support
The founder of SISP has reiterated the organization’s unwavering commitment to pursuing justice through all available legal avenues. This case represents a profound breach of trust that has disrupted humanitarian efforts and weakened institutional stability.
This update is shared not in anger, but in deep disappointment. SISP urges relevant authorities to act decisively by:
- Holding those responsible fully accountable
- Recovering misappropriated funds
- Enforcing the law without bias or delay
- Restoring public trust in the justice system
If justice cannot be achieved locally, SISP is prepared to pursue accountability through international legal mechanisms. As of November 15, after more than six months of waiting, SISP remains deeply disappointed — yet firmly determined.
