Legal & Registration

Shaker International Scholarship Programs is legally structured to protect a borderless humanitarian mission rooted in service, integrity, and responsibility.
Origins of the Mission
Shaker International Scholarship Programs (SISP) was founded with a deeply humanitarian vision — one shaped by the belief that service should never be limited by borders, nationality, or bureaucracy.
From the very beginning, the Founder, Morad Shaker, envisioned SISP as a global initiative dedicated to reaching vulnerable communities across Africa, Asia, South America, and beyond, wherever education and opportunity were most needed.
Living in the Hawaiian Islands — often called Paradise — the Founder reflected on a simple yet powerful idea: that small personal sacrifices in comfort and daily life could create life-changing opportunities for students in need.
A Borderless Vision of Service
For many years, SISP operated as a privately funded humanitarian initiative without formal registration.
This allowed the mission to move freely across countries and communities, unbound by national systems or institutional limitations. The intention was never to belong to one nation, but to serve humanity wherever help was needed.
The Turning Point
A serious and unfortunate incident in Bangladesh — involving fraud, corruption, and coordinated misuse of trust by individuals connected to scholarship recipients — revealed vulnerabilities in operating without formal legal protection.
This experience reinforced the necessity of institutional safeguards to protect the organization, its scholars, and the integrity of its mission.
Out of responsibility and reflection, the Founder made a decisive step forward.
Formal Registration in the United States
Shaker International Scholarship Programs is now officially registered as a nonprofit organization in the United States, in the State of Wyoming.
This legal structure provides the framework necessary to ensure transparency, accountability, and protection — while preserving SISP’s ability to operate globally.
- SISP remains privately funded by the Founder.
- No external donations are accepted.
- The organization does not seek tax benefits or financial credits.
- All operations are driven purely by humanitarian service and ethical responsibility.
Funding Model: Founder-Funded (No External Donations Accepted)
A Mission Rooted in Service
Registration was not pursued for recognition, financial incentives, or institutional gain.
It was undertaken solely to protect the mission and ensure the long-term ability of SISP to serve students ethically, responsibly, and sustainably across the world.
Serving people is serving God.
This belief continues to guide every scholarship awarded, every student supported, and every community reached.
